The Solar Eclipse of 2017
First things first, Yahweh is the copyright owner of the Universe, On the fourth day, He said:
“Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:
And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.
And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.
And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,
And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good.
And the evening and the morning were the fourth day."
– Genesis 1:14-19
Hebrews 1:10 makes it as plain as day! "And, Thou, Lord, in the beginninglaid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of Your hands..."
Hebrews 1:3 says of Yeshua, “Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power!”
So when you are looking at the eclipse, look at it from this position of eternal truth!
Know this – Elohim, the Creator of all that is, is the one who marks the path for the sun and the moon. When the Universe was set in motion, the Father of Glory marked August 21st, 2017 (or more correctly, Elul 1, 5777) on His eternal calendar!
The gates of a seven-year season
There is not just one solar eclipse on Father’s eternal calendar! He is sending another one seven years from now on April 8th, 2024 (Adar II 29, 5784).
The Solar Eclipse of 2017 is a celestial proclamation set in place by the Creator of all that is, marking the opening of a seven-year harvest season – seven years of more glory than the earth has ever seen!
It is a holy proclamation that every devil can read – a celestial proclamation that satan's little experiment in rebellion is about 2 minutes and 41 seconds long in the eternal scheme of things. It was light before he moved in shadows across the earth, and now the full light of the Son is filling the earth and the knowledge of Father’s glory is covering the earth as the waters cover the sea.
While I was preparing for a gathering in Carbondale, Illinois concerning this upcoming eclipse, someone sent me this prophetic insight from a man named Garris Elkins:
A Total Eclipse of Hope
On August 21 a solar eclipse will cross the United States from Oregon to the Carolinas. Darkness will cover the cities in its path for over 2 minutes. Viewing a map of the United States and the eclipse path it appears as if someone took a large marker pen and drew a line diagonally across the nation.
In the west-to-east path, this eclipse will enter our nation at the Pacific Coast in Oregon and track eastward. Predominate cities in this moving display of complete darkness will be found along the path of the cities of Salem, Idaho Falls, Casper, Kansas City, St. Louis, Nashville, and Charleston.
As I viewed a map depicting the eclipse route, I saw something else that will take place in the Spirit. As natural darkness moves across our nation, I saw angels following the trailing edge of the eclipse event planting the seeds of unusual demonstrations of God’s presence in the hearts of people. These angels carried seed bags on their shoulders and sowed the seeds in wide flowing arcs like ancient farmers moving across a freshly tilled field. The seeds began to sprout as the darkness passed and the full light of day returned. The ebbing darkness and returning natural light will be a signal in the heavens to begin the germination of the seeds.
The angels were careful. They picked out uniquely created seeds with distinct regional assignments that would germinate and sprout into great moves of God. The seeds contain a specific spiritual DNA that will come to life within the unique spiritual soil conditions of each region where they are planted.
I saw believers standing in the darkness. Rays of supernatural light surrounded them as the eclipse passed over and darkness descended. This will be a supernatural demonstration of Heaven’s light on Earth. Those who see this light will reestablish their faith in the God of wonders. When the darkness passes over them they will experience firsthand what the Psalmist meant when he said, 'Thy word is a lamp unto my feet' (Psalm 119:115).
Begin to pray and position your life for this coming event. When the natural darkness takes place you will hear the cries of fear and dismay coming from people overwhelmed by the darkness. As the eclipse deepens they will see your light and will begin to move in your direction. Be prepared to release the testimony of God's hope that you carry. Hope is the only light with the power to eclipse darkness.”
Father is eclipsing every plan for the earth except His own!
Darkness is all that the prisoners of darkness can see, for those of us who have been delivered from darkness into the Kingdom of Light have the great honor of eclipsing the darkness with the blood-bought light of the Son!
It is therefore the responsibility of those along the path of this eclipse to pray for every bloodline and family tree that will gather in your territory to witness this sign in the heavens. Call them out of the shadows and into the full light of day, the eternal purpose of the Son!
Know this – the solar eclipse is happening on the 1st of Elul, marking the beginning of a season of repentance, a time of forgiveness. Elul is also the season where the King is in the field and all can approach Him as He shines His countenance upon everyone! This is the season of Acts 2:17, where the King says "I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh."
Know this also – the King is coming out of His palace dressed as a man of war, dealing with His enemies! This is an Isaiah 45 timeframe as well:
"I will go before you, and make the crooked places straight: I will break in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron:
And I will give you the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that you may know that I, the Lord, which calls Your by thy name, am the God of Israel."
You need to reconcile this within yourselves as well – Father has given us an Isaiah 45 president who is surrounding himself with generals precisely because of this seven year season into which we are entering.
Witches the world over have aligned to curse this president because there is something Father has placed within him – they recognize him as a threat to the kingdom of darkness! Pray for this president and all those Father has called to move with him in this hour.

The paths of the eclipse of 2017 and 2024 converge over southern Illinois. In 1999, Bob Jones released a prophetic word concerning this region. In 2012, he released a prophetic word about God's glory returning to the church. We are in the time of the eternal movement of the synergy of the intercessions manifesting among men.
